INTERNET DEPENDENCE AMONG UNIVERSITY STUDENTS: A SYSTEMATIC LITERATURE REVIEW

Abstrak

Kecanduan internet para mahasiswa menjadi masalah yang sangat mengkhawatirkan saat ini karena mahasiswa adalah tulang punggung negara yang akan menjadi penerus estafet perjuangan dan pembangunan bangsa. Artikel ini menyajikan tinjauan literatur sistematis untuk mendeskripsikan tingkat ketergantungan dan jenis-jenis kecanduan internet di kalangan mahasiswa di Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. Data dikumpulkan  dengan menggunakan survey online dan dideskripsi dalam bentuk tabel dan gambar kemudian diinterpretasikan. Hasil menunjukkan mayoritas responden perempuan dengan tingkat pendidikan rerata sedang studi di jenjang sarjana dari semester 8. Durasi mengakses internet rerata per hari lebih dari 6 jam dan lebih sering di malam hari. Berdasarkan data diketahui usia pertama mengakses internet pada usia 10-15 tahun. Media sosial (FB, Insta, Twitter, YT, dan sejenis) paling sering diakses dengan tujuan untuk mencari hiburan. Pengeluaran responden per bulan terbanyak berada di kisaran 0-1jt. Dampak kecanduan tertinggi responden pada internet adalah tidak dapat bekerja dengan baik bila tidak mengakses internet dan terendah pada penilaian orang karena menggunakan smartphone internet terlalu sering.
